Trysil Trail 14 & 24K Course Descriptions 

Trysil Trail 14K

The course stretches around Trysilfjellet and you get a mixed experience of running on trails, footbridges and mountain roads. After a couple of kilometers of running, you follow the eastern slope of Trysilfjellet and can look out over the entire Swedish border, and the fantastic valley where the Trysil River winds its way downwards. After following the elevation curve for a couple of kilometers, you will pass the classic Skihytta and head out on the Fjellrundan and work your way up to high alpine terrain. When you reach the top, you will be rewarded with an endless view of several national parks in Norway. Now a few wonderful kilometers of running in high alpine terrain on nice and running-friendly trails await you.

The end of the course gives you a nice downhill run and those of you who have energy left can let off steam on the way down to the finish line with the sun at your back.

Trysil Trail 24K

The first part of the course shares the route with 14K and stretches around Trysilfjellet, you get a mixed experience of running on trails, footbridges and mountain roads. After a couple of kilometers of running you follow the eastern slope of Tryslfjellet and can look out over the entire Swedish border, and the fantastic valley where the Trysil River winds its way downwards. After following the elevation curve for a couple of kilometers, you will pass the classic Skihytta and head out on the Fjellrundan and work your way up to high alpine terrain. When you round the top you will be rewarded with an endless view of several national parks in Norway. Now a few wonderful kilometers of running in high alpine terrain on nice and running-friendly trails await you.

When the course separates from 14K, a wonderful and nice experience with technical trail  awaits you as you make your way around Skurufjellet. On the final loop you will have the opportunity to take in the view to the west and enjoy the sun on your face before you make your way back towards Fageråsen and the finish area.

The end of the course gives you a nice downhill run and those of you who have energy left can let off steam on your way down to the finish line with the sun at your back and meet the cheers of the crowd.
